“Creative writing” is a term used to distinguish certain artistic types of writing from technical, professional or journalistic writing. It includes, but is not limited to, fiction, play writing, poetry, screenwriting, creative non-fiction, self-exploratory work such as autobiographies or memoirs, or work that comprises a mixture of these genres.  Here at Lifestyle Learning Direct, we believe many aspects of creative writing can be easily learned, if you have the appropriate resources. In fact, many of today’s notable authors are graduates of some type of creative writing course. A reasonable knowledge of spelling, punctuation and grammar, as well as a sense of sentence flow and structure may be all you need to get started, as well as the desire to link words in a creative way.Creative writing encompasses many different genres. The Lifestyle Learning Direct’s Creative Writing II course focuses on five of these – children’s, novels, plays, sci-fi/fantasy and scripts – and aims to broaden your writing skills and expand your potential scope when writing for profit or pleasure. Creative Writing II has been developed as a natural progression from our Creative Writing I course, or for potential writers who already possess a good understanding of English grammar and basic writing skills, and who wish to specialise in definite writing genres.
